Government funded Vibrant and Viable Places contract in Conwy almost complete

Late last year we were contracted by Conwy Council to improve the energy efficiency and overall appearance of a number of Victorian terraced homes and flats.

This was our first contract for Conwy and involved close work with the local planning team to ensure that we met the required conservation area standards at all times.

The initial work on 40 properties soon increased to 51 properties, all owned by private landlords or homeowners and included:

  • External Wall Insulation
  • Brick cleaning/pointing
  • Positive Input Ventilation (PIV)
  • Replacement windows and doors
  • Rain water guttering/minor roof works

Some properties have required timber sliding windows.

The work is funded by the Welsh Government’s Vibrant and Viable Places funding which is designed to reduce fuel bills and fuel poverty and improve the heath and wellbeing of residents.

This has been a rich and rewarding project and we are proud of the part we have played in introducing contemporary efficiencies to some beautiful old buildings.
